Make sure your business is prepped for the holiday season

I know it may still seem like decades away, but the winter holidays are just around the corner! For some of you #BossBabes, this is the busiest time of year! You want to make sure that you are confident and in control. I’ve put together a holiday preparation list with some ideas to make this time go as smoothly as butter.

Marketing

Planning out your marketing through the end of the year will save you a lot of time and stress when the holidays approach. Start with a schedule of what you need to do and when. Think emails, social media posts, sales! Then you can work on developing the content, followed by creating the graphics and putting everything together. If you typically work with a designer to do this, make sure you get them scheduled early. Chances are they will be busy with their own holiday marketing!

PS. Do you have a social media scheduler? If the answer is no, get one NOW. Your future self will thank you for it! ? Check out CoSchedule or PromoRepublic!

Website

This is a good time to test your website and order processing system. You need to make sure you’re prepared for the surge of sales all you #womxnINcharge will be getting! There’s a chance that the surge could slow down your site, which wouldn’t be good! If you don’t know how to do this on your own, check-in with your web designer. This is also a good time to make sure your site is mobile responsive (how it looks on a phone or tablet). I don’t know about you, but I’ve spent many late nights scrolling through my phone online shopping! ?️ You have to make sure your business is prepared for that.

Stand out

One thing I look forward to during the holiday season is receiving beautiful emails and catalogues showcasing gift ideas. They make me think, “hey this is a great gift! I should shop here for so-and-so.” This is exactly what you want! Have you thought about creating a holiday gift guide? It’s the perfect way to highlight your holiday sales and top-selling items. Don’t forget to incorporate your branding throughout the guide- you want to make sure that your biz is standing out among your competitors!

So, if you’ve checked off all of these things- that’s great! You are going to nail this holiday season. If you’re not so sure, you still have plenty of time to tackle this! And as always, if you’re feeling stuck and need a hand- click here to set up some time to chat with me and see how we can get this done together!
